I have an old-fashioned, no-nonsense approach to recording which is all about getting the best possible results with whatever's available.

Much as I love making expensive-sounding recordings in top studios, I know not everyone can afford to work this way. When circumstances are not ideal, my philosophy is wherever possible to take advantage of the limitations.

After years of recording all sorts of musicians from the great to the not-so-great, I know that a good sound is about far more than the equipment. The most important part of a recording is the instrument and the person playing it, and they will always be my priority.
